FIRE ROLLING DOOR
All our fire shutters are manufactured and produced in accordance with the parameters and technical respects indicated within the specification of UL.
Curtains constructed from a 22 GA flat steel slats interlocked with steel end locks and galvanised section bottom bar.
Barrel manufactured from mild steel tube, tube size varies based on the overall width and height of the curtain and the gauge of slats. The tube wall thickness varies dependant on the width of the door, the barrels are mounted on steel shafts varying from 1" to 1 3/4" dependant on the overall size of the door, the shafts have mild steel bearing blocks at each end incorporating high speed bearings.
Guides constructed from 14 GA straight channel galvanised guide mounted on 3" x 2" rollformed steel angle
Hood formed from 24 GA steel sheet, with the top leg slotted for expansio.
Finishes the curtain and guides are galvanised angles, barrel and end plates are painted. A paint finish using a polyester powder coating system is available, the colour to a RAL number subject to availability.
FUSIBLE LINK RELEASE
On activation the link, which is a soldered link, separates and releases at 68 degrees centigrade, on the manual fire door this will release the drop bar and the fire door will close under its own weight, on the electric fire door the manual brake release is activated and the shutter will close under a controlled manner.
MANUAL SOLENOID RELEASE All solenoid release mechanisms are designed to be linked into the fire alarm. The signal from the fire alarm will trigger the manual brake release and allow the door to close under a controlled descent.
AUTO SOLENOID RELEASE
Again this is linked to the fire alarm, this is the most commonly used activation allowing for frequent testing & re-setting, when the door is returned to the open position (after removal of fire signal), the solenoid can be automatically reset.
